PRESCOTT – A suspect ended up running from police without a shred of clothes on after a traffic stop for alleged driving while under the influence.

Prescott Valley police tells 3TV a K9 officer stopped a vehicle at Barbara and Victor for moving violations on Friday at about 9:30 p.m.

The officers suspected that the driver, identified as 41-year-old Kenneth Hook, was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

During the arrest Hook reported having some sort of medical difficulties and was taken to YRMC East Campus where he was released by police so that he could receive medical treatment.

When an officer returned to the medical center to continue with his DUI investigation he saw Hook leaving the hospital in his gown through the ambulance entrance. He took off running when he saw the officer.

Hook reportedly flipped over a fence during his attempt to escape police and his gown got caught on the barbed fence and came off his body. Hook continued to run into an open field.

The officer pursued the suspect and caught up to him a short time later and took him back into custody. He faces DUI charges and is at the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde.
