MESA - The Mesa Police Department's search for a missing woman, Geraldine Mitchell, has ended. She returned home without any injuries and on her own accord late Saturday evening.

She was reported missing by her daughter after she sent a text message stating she was scared. Other messages that followed indicated she was in a vehicle and not able to talk and that she thought they had crossed the border into Mexico.

The last message was received at 8:25 a.m. on Saturday. Her phone has since been turned off.

She is 38-years-old with brown eyes and brown hair, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 160 pounds. She was last scene wearing a short-sleeved multi-colored shirt and light-colored blue jeans.

Geraldine had told her brother she was going out with friends last night, but it is unknown who she was going out with.

If you have any information you are asked to call the Mesa Police Department 480-644-2211.
