Red Cross assisting those displaced in Phoenix apartment complexPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Early this morning at around 3 a.m. an apartment fire chased several people from their homes. When firefighters arrived on the scene near I-17 and Glendale.
They saw flames shooting from the windows and doors of a second-floor unit of the apartment complex.
Crews kept those flames from spreading and managed to knock down the fire pretty quickly.
Fortunately everybody got out safely and no injuries were reported. The damage was contained to the initial apartment and the unit next door.
Investigators are looking into the cause of that fire this morning.
The Red Cross is helping the victims of the fire.
