Brittney Shipp at Challenger Space Center's Family Fun Day
Family Fun day is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Enjoy an adventure in space with activities including arts and crafts, games, movies and other age appropriate activities that promote a love for science, technology, engineering and math. No reservations required. Take a guided tour of the Challenger Space Center, explore the planets in the solar system and then experience a one-of-a-kind simulated space shuttle launch. Admission is $6 for adults, and $4 for students and seniors. Children younger than 5 and members get in free. The Challenger Space Center is located at 21170 N. 83rd Ave in Peoria, Arizona. Mesquite High Symphonic Strings
Carnegie Hall Debut Concert on Feb. 24 -- This is a special Engagement Preview Concert for the Symphonic Strings trip to New York. The group will perform the repertoire they will be performing in Carnegie Hall for family, friends, and community supporters. There will also be a cake reception following the performance provided by Cathy's Rum Cake Worldwide. The concert will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 7:00 p.m., in the Ballroom of Villa Siena (890 W. Elliot Road Suite 104, Gilbert). Tickets are $10, and they're available on a first-come, first-serve event. Only 350seats are available. Donations will also be accepted for the trip the night of the performance. Corporate sponsorships are also available.

Cupid Shuffle
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona presents an attempt to set a world record for the most kids doing the "Cupid Shuffle" at one time. The event is at Desert Ridge Marketplace on Saturday, Jan. 30, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. It's all part of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona's Walk On!
