PHOENIX -- The FBI is asking for the public's help to identify bank robbers dubbed the "Average at Best Bandits." The suspects were named to describe their physical appearance.

On Jan. 19, two males entered the Bank of America near McDowell Road and the Estrella Parkway in Goodyear. Each suspect presented a demand note to a teller and fled on foot with undisclosed amounts of cash. No vehicle or weapon was seen.

One suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches, 160 pounds with a dark complexion and thin mustache. He was wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo, a red "do-rag" under the hat, a maroon hooded sweatshirt and dark baggy denim pants.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 19 to 21 years old, 5 feet 7 inches, 130 pounds, with a thin build, brown eyes and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a multicolored baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt and baggy denim shorts.

The FBI reports that two males robbed the Bank of America at 99th Avenue and McDowell Road in Avondale on Jan. 21.

Both suspects reportedly walked up to the merchant teller and were greeted by an employee. One of the suspects said he forgot his wallet and left the bank with the other suspect. A few minutes later, they both returned and approached a teller. One suspect presented a demand note and received an undisclosed amount of money. Both suspects fled on foot. No vehicle or weapon was seen.

One suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 125 to 140 pounds with a dark complexion and light acne scarring on face. He was wearing baggy clothes, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and black baseball cap. This suspect may be the same as suspect No. 2 in the Jan. 19 robbery.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-20s, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches and 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark long-sleeve sweatshirt, purple baseball cap, and light blue sweat pants.

Also on Jan. 21, two suspects robbed the Chase Bank located at Country Club Drive and Southern Avenue in Mesa. One suspect approached the teller and presented a demand note. He was given an undisclosed amount of money. A second suspect was observed in the teller line. He did not approach the teller counter. Both suspects fled the bank on foot and were seen entering a gold Dodge Intrepid. No weapon was seen.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, white Anaheim Angels baseball cap with a blue bill, dark pants and dark shoes. This suspect may be the same as suspect No. 2 in the Jan. 19 robbery.

The other suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 25 years old. He was seen wearing a black baseball cap, dark hooded sweatshirt, and white tennis shoes. This suspect may be the same as suspect No. 1 in the Jan. 19 robbery.
