Another indictment handed up against County Supervisor Wilcox

PHOENIX – A 40-count indictment has been handed up against Maricopa County Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox.
The charges filed against her include perjury, forgery, false swearing and conflict of interest.
The new indictment obtained by the grand jury is being added to a previous indictment. Wilcox allegedly obtained three known loans from Chicanos Por La Causa, an organization that assists the disadvantaged.
Wilcox also allegedly voted on numerous contracts or grants involving Chicanos Por La Causa as a member of the board of supervisors but she never filed any type of conflict of interest notice with the clerk of the board.
Wilcox has previously denied any accusations of wrongdoing.
