Another attempted abduction in TucsonPosted: Updated:
For the second time in as many weeks a man has tried to abduct a girl on her way to a bus stop.
From the Pima County Sheriff's Office:
Monday at approximately 7:50 A.M., a man approached a 12-year-old girl while she was walking to the bus stop in the vicinity of Romero Road and Wetmore Road. The suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed her around the waist. The victim was able to pull away and ran into a nearby Circle K, at which time the suspect ran away. The victim called 911 to report the incident.
The suspect is described as a light colored skin male with a thin build. He was between 20-30 years old and between 5’7” to 6’0” tall. He was wearing black sweat pants, which appeared to be dirty and worn, and a black sweatshirt with the hood pulled tightly around his face. He was also wearing black shoes.
A composite of the suspect is being made available to the public. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect or suspect vehicle is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
