Arson fire investigated after torching of Boys and Girls Club bus

SCOTTSDALE – At least one bus has been destroyed in a fire at the Boys and Girls Club and investigators believe it was arson.

An anonymous person called 911 on Saturday just after 5 a.m. to report a fire at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale at the Thunderbird Branch located at 20199 N. 78th Place.

When fire crews arrived at the scene they saw one Boys and Girls Club bus on fire. Three buses were reportedly parked side by side in the northeast parking lot.

One bus was a total loss and two others were damaged by the fire and smoke.

Detectives determined the blaze was a result of arson and are continuing with their investigation.
