Two siblings are dead after a serious collision in West Phoenix

PHOENIX - Two siblings are dead after the truck they were riding in collides with a car in an early morning collision.

The victims have been identified as Shaylee Raumell, 8, and Darien Raumell, 2.

Two teens riding in the car were injured as well. A 19-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition and the 14-year-old suffered serious injuries.

Also in the pick-up at the time of the accident were a five-year-old boy who is in critical condition and a one-and-a-half girl taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Phoenix police said it appears as if one vehicle ran a red light around 1:40 a.m.. The children were not properly restrained and were riding in the front seat of the truck. Three of the children were ejected from the truck.

At this point no one has been charged in the accident.

The 38-year-old driver of the truck was not seriously hurt and was driving on a suspended license at the time of the crash.

It is not believed alcohol is a factor in the fatal accident.
