Body found near Camp Verde identified as Phoenix man

PHOENIX -- Yavapai County Sheriff's Office detectives have identified the body found by hunters near Camp Verde on Dec. 20.
Relatives of Omar Solis-Castro, 23, recently contacted detectives after seeing the media story.
Detectives learned that Solis-Castro walked away from his home near 35th and Dunlap avenues in Phoenix after a domestic disturbance on Nov. 1 and had not been heard from since.
Hunters found the body in an area near the Childs (Irving) Power Plant Campground southeast of Camp Verde.
Solis-Castro's family said he frequently camped out in that area and may have gone camping with friends following his disappearance.
