FLAGSTAFF – The Coconino County Sheriff's Office arrested a victim's wife for attempted homicide after her husband died from gunshot wounds.
On Tuesday evening the Sheriff's office received a call regarding an adult male who had been shot in the face and was being driven to Flagstaff Medical Center.
The investigation revealed that the 54-year-old victim was at his home in Alpine Ranchos with his wife Kari Bauer, 40. According to a witness the two had been arguing earlier in the evening and Kari began throwing house hold items leading to the witnesses leaving the residence.
At around 9:30 p.m. the victim drove himself to a neighbor's home requesting medical assistance after being shot in the face. A second gun shot wound was located in his back.
Police had probable cause to arrest Kari on one count of attempted homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
