Rental tax protestPosted: Updated:
Members of Arizona's Multi-housing Association got together Monday afternoon to make signs they plan to hold up at Tuesday's meeting to protest the proposed landlord's tax the council could take action on. It's a 2% tax that at least three council-members have publicly opposed -- Steve Kozachik, Rodney Glassman, Regina Romero. Karin Uhlich issued an E-mail Monday saying she supports the city manager's landlord tax. Property owners -- however -- are doing all they can to make sure the tax isn't passed.
