Prescott police are looking for man involved in shooting

PRESCOTT - The Prescott Police Department is looking for a person allegedly involved in a shooting on Saturday.

When officers responded to a shots fired call around 8:30 p.m. they talked to Dustin Ray Sanders, 19, in his apartment. He stated that he was shot by Jeremiah Levi Johnson, 25, who was in the alley behind his apartment.

According to the Prescott Police Department Sanders and Johnson were in a fight just prior to the shooting. Sanders told police he returned fire after Johnson shot at him.

Sanders was taken into custody on three charges unrelated to the shooting. Those include, one count of possession of marijuana, one count of possessing a weapon in the commission of a felon, one count of tampering with physical evidence.
