PHOENIX -- Police have identified the woman whose body was found in a drainage pipe near the Roosevelt Canal Wednesday.

Kelly Hillman, 32, was found by two men scavenging for scrap metal near 47th Avenue and Thomas Road.

Investigators have not said much about Hillman, but they do know she was murdered. Police are turning to the public to help them figure out what happened.

Detectives do not believe Hillman's body had been in the pipe for very long, probably not more than a day.

The medical examiner is working to determine exactly how Hillman died.
