Kingman man arrested in fatal hit-and-runPosted: Updated:
KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) — A 74-year-old Kingman area man has been arrested in connection with last week's fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a Golden Valley man.
Police were looking for William Eugene Shelley after a driver of a power blue truck was seen leaving the scene of the accident.
A tip led police to the truck and Shelley. Kingman police spokesman Sgt. Bob Fisk said Shelley initially denied involvement before admitting he was the driver.
The motorcyclist, 45-year-lld Kenneth Dean Grantham, hit the rear bed of the truck after the driver pulled into his path. Grantham was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center where he died 30 minutes after the accident.
