PEORIA -- Police are turning to the public to help find two missing men.

James Jay Keefer told friends on Dec. 16 that he was going exploring in an area northeast of Kingman.

Keefer, 55, was supposed to return three days later on Dec, 19, but has not shown up. Family and friends say they have not heard from Keefer since he left Peoria, and although they've tried to contact him, they have not been able to.

Police said Keefer is diabetic and on medication, but nobody is sure just how much medicine he took with him.

Keefer is 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs about 210 pounds. He has blue eyes and light brown hair.

He was last seen driving a 2005 Chrysler Sebring convertible. It's white with a black top and has the Arizona license plate 1MSGT2U.

On Tuesday, police confirmed that a second missing person is with Keefer.

Greg Allen Hawkins, 48, is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-8311.
