GLENDALE – Glendale police shoot and kill two pit bulls as the dogs charge after a little boy.
The incident happened near 71st Avenue and Orangewood between Glendale and Northern Avenues on Monday afternoon.

Police tell 3TV the two dogs were running after a child on a bike. When officers arrived on scene they say they had to make a choice: risk the boy's life or kill the dogs.

Police say the two dogs have a history of roaming around the neighborhood. The owner reportedly went to pick up the dead dogs. He will be cited.
