FLAGSTAFF - Flagstaff police continue investigating a suspicious death in the neighborhood of Christmas Tree Estates.

On December 23 officers were called to a home in the neighborhood where they found the body of Zachary Patrick Morgan, 20.

Morgan, from Phoenix, was dead of an apparent gun shot wound.

Detectives along with METRO drug agents searched the neighborhood for witnesses and details in an apparent homicide.
They located a person of interest, 20-year-old Kazuhiko Matsumoto Wilson, and took the suspect into custody on charges related to drug possession and sales of drugs.

Due to witness statements and physical evidence, investigators have now determined that Matsumoto is the suspect in Morgan's murder and no longer just a person of interest.

Formal charges are expected to be filed soon by the Coconino County Attorney's Office.
