GLENDALE, Ariz. – The family of a Glendale woman gunned down during her morning jog is shedding new light on the crime.
Cynthia Langrall was shot twice in the head early Monday morning while jogging near 73rd Avenue and Deer Valley Road. She died a short time later after being transported to John C. Lincoln Hospital. Glendale police say that have no information on a suspect or motive at this time.
Langrall’s twin sister spoke with 3TV’s Marissa Wingate by phone on Monday. The two sisters recently celebrated their birthday and even jogged the very same route. Her sister says she’s in shock over the incident saying, “this was a senseless act of violence committed on my best friend and my twin sister...I'm just going to be lost without her in my life."
Langrall is also survived by her husband, two children, four grandchildren, and a granddaughter on-the-way. Her sister says Langrall had recently put out holiday decorations and she was looking forward to Christmas and the upcoming birth of her granddaughter.
The family is hoping someone will come forward with information on the shooting and her sister asks the public to, “keep all of the family in your thoughts and prayers…especially during this most holy season, Christmas."
Investigators are asking anyone who may have information related to this crime to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
