Police arrest second suspect in Paradise Valley robberies

PARADISE VALLEY -- Police in Paradise Valley say they have arrested a second suspect in a string of home-invasion style robberies.

Darrell Thompson, 51, is charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, kidnapping and burglary.

Police believe Thompson worked with another man -- Jason Martin. Police arrested Martin, who is Thompson's nephew, earlier this month.

The home invasions, which began October 20, occurred in the area near Doubletree Ranch and Scottsdale roads. After the most recent home invasion on December 4, a police officer made note of a vehicle leaving the area. Police put that vehicle under surveillance, which led them to Martin.

Both Thompson and Martin are accused of holding people at gunpoint, terrorizing them and robbing them.
