Employees robbed at gunpoint at Avondale eatery

AVONDALE – Employees were robbed at gunpoint at an eatery in Avondale and the two suspects are still at large.

The armed robbery took place on December 9 just before 10 p.m. at Ed’s Fish and Chips located at 306 N. Central Avenue.

When officers arrived on scene employees said they were robbed at gunpoint and forced to open the cash drawer that had an unknown amount of cash.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males. They fled on foot.

The first suspect is about 18 to 20 years old and has a light complexion/ He was clean shaven and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a red beanie, black gloves and tennis shoes. That suspect was armed with a long barrel rifle.

The second suspect was also between 18 and 19 years old and weighed about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, blue shorts and blue tennis shoes with white laces.
