3 Injured after plane catches on fire while in hangar

DEER VALLEY – Three people are in the hospital after a plane caught on fire while in a hangar at the Desert Valley Airport.

A Phoenix fire spokesperson tells 3TV there were a few planes in the hangar at the time but only one of them caught on fire on Wednesday afternoon.

Three people had to be taken to the hospital. One person suffered burns to the hand and another was transported for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The hangar was not damaged.
