CHANDLER -- A school bus reportedly T-boned a car near Chandler Boulevard and Rural Road in Chandler Wednesday morning.
According to Detective David Ramer with the Chandler Police Department, the car made an illegal U-turn in front of the school bus on Driftwood Avenue at Buffalo Street. The bus collided with the vehicle, causing major damage to the car and minimal damage to the bus.
The bus was carrying 35 students to Pueblo Middle School. None of the students were injured. Another bus picked up the students and took them to school.
Ramer said the 23-year-old driver of the Toyota Corolla does not have life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a local hospital and was found to have a suspended driver's license. She will be cited for a moving violation as well as for driving while her license is suspended.
