With holiday shopping season in full swing, federal agents are keeping busy busting people for peddling counterfeit merchandise.
A nationwide crackdown called "Operation Holiday Hoax" targeted peddlers here in Tucson and in Phoenix.
Agents with immigration and customs enforcement hit the Tanque Verde swap meet Saturday, seizing some $785,000 in counterfeit clothes and jewelry from several vendors.
Two stores in Phoenix also got popped for selling fake team jerseys. Across the county ice officials rounded up about $26M worth of bogus goods.
