Snowbowl to open ThursdayPosted: Updated:
FLAGSTAFF -- After last week's storms, it likely many Valley residents have plans to head up north for some winter fun. It's all business at Snowbowl, which is slated to open for the season on Thursday.
Sales and marketing director Dave Smith says the resort has a 24-inch snow base at 9,500 feet and 37 inches at higher elevations. He says all lifts will be running at 9 a.m.
The Arizona Snowbowl typically opens in mid-December and logs more than 100 days of skiing and other winter sports in an average season.
