SAN LUIS, Ariz. -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized $1.4 million worth of cocaine Wednesday at the San Luis port of entry south of Yuma.
While processing travelers and conducting routine inspections, CBP officers directed a 40-year-old man to a secondary lot for further inspection.
Agents X-rayed the man's Isuzu Rodeo and found packages of cocaine inside the gas tank. The packages weighed more than 55 pounds.
The man, who was not identified, was arrested and turned over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement for further investigation.
