AHS Pet of the Week - Yukon

Posted: Updated:

Drive home with a Yukon…a lifetime kitty companion.

His previous owner’s health was failing and with no other option, he reluctantly surrendered Yukon to the Arizona Humane Society. Now this distinguished and well-mannered 5-year-old house cat is searching for a cozy place to call home.

Yukon is an absolute cuddle bug who never misses the opportunity to join his human pal on the couch for an afternoon of channel surfing. He enjoys sprawling out on the lap of a cat lover and soaking up ear scratches while showing-off his thundering purr and kneading his velvet paws readily. His medium-length fur will need occasional brushing, but he enjoys being spruced up to maintain his handsome appearance. He likes warming his fur by napping near the fireplace or relaxing near a sunny window.

Yukon is an outgoing kitty, but he was the only pet in his previous home. With a slow introduction to his new family he may learn to tolerate living in a boisterous household. His adoption fee is only $20 because he is a Prime Time pet. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar, a pet carrier an AHS I.D. tag, and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about Yukon, please call 602-997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A286498.

Please note: Yukon may have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has many more wonderful pets who are also searching for forever homes. Visit our website at adopt.azhumane.org to view all the other homeless dogs, cats and critters at our shelter. You can also support homeless pets with an end of the year tax-deductible donation at www.azhumane.org or shop for holiday gifts at the Arizona Humane Society’s retail and adoption center-Petique located at the Biltmore Fashion Park.
