Storm takes out stop lights at 30 Phoenix intersections

Posted: Updated:

PHOENIX -- At least 30 intersections across Phoenix were without traffic signals because of a Monday night storm that slammed the city. The signal outages stretched from Central Avenue and Buckeye Road to 35th Avenue and Union Hills.

Phoenix police said city street crews were working to restore traffic signals. It's not clear how long the traffic signals were out.

Phoenix police were askingg motorists to be patient and to watch for officers directing traffic in the intersections. Drivers should treat those outages as four-way stops.
