PHOENIX -- A blizzard warning is in effect from now until noon tomorrow for northern Arizona including Flagstaff.
The National Weather Service predicts snowfall will intensify through the day with the heaviest snowfall expected this evening into tomorrow morning.
Up to 2 feet of snow is predicted along with blowing and drifting snow conditions making driving hazardous.
While snow is the name of the weather game up north, the greater Phoenix area will be under a flash flood watch later today.
The National Weather Service says the flood watch will also cover northern Pinal and southern Gila Counties.
The heaviest rain potential will occur tonight over the mountains north and east of Phoenix. Estimated rainfall amounts will approach 2 inches raising the potential for flooding or flash flooding.
