AHS Pet of the Week - Chelsea

With plenty of energy to burn Chelsea, an Australian Cattle Dog mix, hopes to find a home with “wide open spaces” to romp and run and a human pal who will be devoted to play time. Australian Cattle Dogs like Chelsea tend to ambitious go-getters and these busy bodies have a long “to-do” list. Relaxing on the couch all afternoon isn’t on the list, however learning new tricks, hiking, agility, long walks, chewing on puzzling Kong toys and soaking up attention IS!

Chelsea is exceptionally smart and this seven-year-old girl knows the basic commands like the back of her paw, however she is always up for a challenge and this motivated doggie is always eager to learn new tricks. She loves to play fetch and Frisbee, and she will need a very large yard where she can reach top speeds when she chases after flying toys.

Chelsea is always excited to meet children and other dogs, but because she is rowdy and rambunctious bring the whole family, including your current dog, to the shelter to see if she is the perfect match.

She is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is only $35 because she is a Prime Time pet. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag, and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about Chelsea, please call (602) 997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A279098 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has many more wonderful pets that also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet.
