Attempted robbery of Prescott Valley restaurant results in 2 arrests

PRESCOTT VALLEY -- Two men have been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery of a Prescott Valley restaurant.

Police say Jose Calderon, 31, of Prescott Valley attempted to rob the Casa Bonita restaurant on November 10. During the course of the investigation he was also found with methamphetamine and heroin.

He was arrested November 24 on four counts of armed robbery, four counts of aggravated assault, one count of misconduct involving weapons (prohibited possessor), possession of dangerous drugs and possession of a narcotic drug.

Jaime Calderon, 18, of Prescott Valley was found to be in possession of a similar style weapon as the one used in the robbery. He was arrested on one count of misconduct involving weapons (prohibited possessor).

The two men are not related.
