PHOENIX -- Two men have been indicted for allegedly forcing teen girls into prostitution.
Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas said Tuesday that Daniel Cortez, 19, and Jonquell Jones, 22, have been named in an 87-count indictment accusing them of multiple counts of child prostitution, assault and sexual conduct with a minor.
Thomas said the alleged crimes go back to 2006.
The indictment lists seven victims, six of them are minors. The youngest victim was 15.
Thomas said Cortez was arrested in September following a detailed investigation by Phoenix police. Detectives continued their investigation and identified Jones as a second suspect. He was arrested in California and extradited to Arizona on Nov. 15.
