AHS Pet of the Week - Enzo

Enzo has never really known what it is like to be part of a family and sadly he has spent most of his life as a lonely, backyard dog.

After receiving frequent belly rubs, tons of ear scratches and daily walks and playtime from the dedicated volunteers at our shelter, Enzo has learned what it feels like to be genuinely loved. He hopes to find a forever pal to devote his life to. Anyone who spends time with this affectionate Pit bull Terrier will be soon be showered with sloppy doggie kisses and more than likely they will find a rather large dog draped over their lap.

Enzo is a bright and clever canine and he is always up for a challenge, especially when it comes to a puzzling Kong type toy that is filled to the brim with treats. He will need a patient and encouraging trainer to teach him the basic commands, but he is always eager to learn especially if his coach has a pocket full of treats. He is already house-trained.

With an athletic build and plenty of energy to burn, this light-hearted and spunky one-year-old enjoys fast paced walks around the neighborhood and going for hikes on the weekends. After a few hours of playing fetch in the yard each evening, he likes to unwind by relaxing on the couch and watching the sports channel with his human companion.

He is always excited to meet other dogs and kids, but because he is so enthusiastic a family introduction is required so bring the kids and your current canine comrade to the shelter to meet this happy-go-lucky doggie.

He is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is only $110. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag, and a follow-up veterinary exam.
