Man paralyzed after being thrown from car following argumentPosted: Updated:
GILA RIVER INDIAN COMMUNITY -- Police are trying to determine what led up to an argument that left a man paralyzed early Monday morning.
According to Gila River police, the man, who is in his 20s, was riding in a car with some friends when there was some kind of argument. The man said that's when he was thrown from the vehicle and left on the side of the road. He was paralyzed when police found him near 51st Avenue and Pecos Road.
Officers on the scene initially thought they had found a body, but then the man, whose name has not been released, started talking to them. It is unknown if officers made any arrests.
