TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Arizona State coach Dennis Erickson says quarterback Samson Szakacsy will take most of the snaps with the first team this week.

It's a sign that the sophomore may make his first career start at UCLA on Saturday.

Szakacsy played well after replacing injured starter Brock Osweiler in a 44-21 loss at Oregon last weekend. Szakacsy, a product of Camarillo, Calif., completed 13 of 22 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.

The Sun Devils (4-6, 2-5 Pac-10) have lost four in a row, and they need to win one of their last two games to avoid matching a school-record six-game losing streak for the second consecutive year.
