PHOENIX -- Crews were called out to an early morning fire in the area of 55th Avenue between McDowell and Thomas roads.

The call came is at about 5:30 Monday morning.

Firefighters initially did not have the exact address so they had to follow the glow of the flames.

Going through the home, crews discovered that it was vacant.

"That's fortunate because we didn't displace anybody today," said Capt. Brett Sutton of the Phoenix Fire Department.

Firefighters were able to knock the flames down quickly.

No injuries were reported.
