Mesa woman accused of killing 3-year-old expected in courtPosted: Updated:
MESA -- More evidence is expected to be presented in the trial of a Mesa woman accused of killing her ex-boyfriend's 3-year-old son.
Heather Nicole Miller is facing charges of murder and child abuse in the connection with the April 2007 death of Isaiah Vargas.
According to investigators, Miller, now 24, admitted shaking the little boy to death. In the beginning, however, she told police that several men attacked her and kidnapped Isaiah.
The 3-year-old's body was later found wrapped in a blanket and a white plastic bag next to a canal near McKellips and Stapley.
