Man exposes himself near school bus stop in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE -- Police arrested a man after he allegedly exposed himself near a school bus stop in Scottsdale.

According to the Scottsdale Police Department, the Paiute Neighborhood Center was notified by an anonymous caller that a man was exposing himself near a school bus stop in the area of 68th Street and Osborn Road Wednesday morning.

Officials notified Scottsdale police, but the suspect had left the scene by the time officers arrived.

Detectives watched the area on Friday and at 8 a.m., they spotted a man in the alleyway exposing himself as a 13-year-old girl was waiting at the bus stop in full view of the suspect.

Detectives arrested Jose Francisco Arias Fernandez, 38, and took him into custody. He had fictitious identification in his possession at the time of arrest. He was booked on counts of public sexual indecency and identity theft.
