Cheesecake Factory pays employees nearly $400K over alleged sexual abuse

CHANDLER -- The Cheesecake Factory is paying a group of employees $345,000 to settle a lawsuit over alleged sexual abuse.

Six waiters at the Chandler location sued the company, claiming they were sexually assaulted by a group of cooks.

The victims said the managers knew exactly what was happening, but never stepped in to stop it.

The company denies the allegations, saying it settled to avoid further legal costs.

While the cooks accused in the suit were not charged, they did lose their jobs.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says the case is not uniques, citing similar claims made by employees at Flemings Steakhouse, Black Angus and McDonalds.
