PHOENIX -- Two of the seats on the Phoenix City Council were decided Tuesday.
In unofficial results, Sal DiCiccio defeated Dana Kennedy by about 3,000 votes in District 6.
That race was one that heated up in the final days.
In District 3, Bill Gates defeated Greg Tripoli by a wide margin.
That district covers Sunnyslope, Moon Valley and other parts of north-central Phoenix.
Voters passed a majority of school budget and override requests although a budget increase for the phoenix union district failed.
Voters in Avondale passed four of the five questions on their ballot but turned down a bond issue.
And voters in the city of Surprise said no to a bond issue and to changes in the city's general plan.
