Man killed in Central Phoenix shooting, suspect on the loosePosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Police are investigating a shooting in Central Phoenix.
People living in the area of 12th Street and Indian School Road called 911 at about 10:00 Thursday night. Those residents said they heard a gunshot. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man lying in the road. He had been shot.
The victim, a 48-year-old Native American male whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said several people heard the shot, but nobody saw what happened.
Investigators said they don't have much to go on in the case so they are turning to the community for help.
