MESA -- An autopsy has revealed that a man pulled from a house fire in Mesa on Monday died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Mesa police identified the victim as David K. Parry, 59.
Officers say they can't officially declare the death a suicide yet even though a handgun was found near Parry's body.
Parry wasn't working and his utilities were shut off, but he had managed to rig his home with electricity and ran a hose from a nearby vacant house for water.
Firefighters found Parry's body inside the house, which was nearly empty.
Neighbors said Parry was facing foreclosure.
