Arizona state senator takes aim at all-day kindergartenPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- An Arizona state senator says it's time to take at hard look at all-day kindergarten, a program that's just three years old.
Sen. John Huppenthal made the comment during a forum on education funding. Pointing to second-graders' test scores, he says all-day kindergarten has not given students a significant boost since its implementation in 2006.
State Superintendent Tom Horne disagrees.
