GILBERT -- Police are turning to the public to help find a man they say has been exposing himself to women.

According to Sgt. Mark Marino and Lt. Hugh White, there have been three incidents near an apartment complex along Juniper Avenue west of Gilbert Road. Investigators believe it was the same man each time.

The first incident happened on June 8 at 6 a.m.

The second happened on September 6 shortly after 4:30 a.m. That time, an officer arriving on the scene spotted the suspect as he ran off. There was a short foot pursuit, but the suspect got away. It's not clear if he hid in an apartment or left the scene.

Police said the officer was responding a call regarding indecent exposure. The man had been seen watching some women in the pool area the night before. Early the next morning, he knocked on the door of one of the women. He was not wearing any clothes.

The most recent incident happened on Oct. 18, at about 5:45 a.m.

The suspect is described as a black male with medium-brown skin. He is about 5 feet 9 or 10 inches tall, weighing between 185 and 200 pounds. He has shoulder-length hair in dreads.

Each of the incidents has happened in the early morning hours and every time the man has been seen, he was wearing a bathrobe, a dark jacket or nothing at all.

Anybody with information about the suspect should contact the Gilbert Police Department at 480-503-6500.
