'Illegal Alien' Halloween costume spooks retailers, offends immigration groupsPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Two versions of an illegal alien costume are stirring controversy this Halloween season. Complaints from customers and immigrant rights groups have prompted Target, Amazon, Toys R Us, and Walgreens to pull the costumes from their shelves.
Kat Rodriguez of Derechos Humanos, a Human Rights Coalition, calls the costumes insulting. "We're in a state where over 200 people's bodies were recovered this year, people who died on the border" said Rodriguez.
Now that the costume has been pulled from retailers shelves, many people are turning to eBay and other online auction sites.
