One disease killing millions of people every year has become a huge concern in our area.
The Seventh Annual National Latino AIDS Awareness Day was held to provide information and make people aware. Of how HIV and AIDS has impacted the Tucson community -- especially Latinos.
According to the National Latino Aids Awareness Day organization, Latinos in Tucson represent 14% of the population, but they account for 20% of new AIDS cases. And that percentage is rising.
