PHOENIX - Homeowners in a Phoenix neighborhood were evacuated Friday morning as police tried to convince a suspect to surrender.

Around 4 a.m. police tried to pull over what they believed to be a stolen vehicle.

The pursuit led them to a home near 48th Street near Baseline Road where the suspects forced entry in a home in the neighborhood after dumping the car.

Two suspects were taken into custody, but an eighteen-year-old, who might have known someone in the home barricaded himself in the house for about an hour.

Police, SWAT and K-9 units surrounded  the home as neighboring homes were evacuated as a precaution.

The teen suspect was taken into custody.
