Drive-by shooting suspect on the loose

PHOENIX - People at a West Phoenix apartment complex woke up to guns shots this morning and police canvassing the parking lot looking for answers.

One woman was hurt and the shooter is still on the run.

The shooting happened around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning on 27th Avenue just north of Camelback Road.

Police say a man drove up to the complex and fired at least six shots into a back dumpster.

One of the bullets possible grazed a 56-year-old woman who was standing in the parking lot with her husband and son.

The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

The family was just moving here from California.

Officers say this was an intimidation shooting.

Neighbors tell us a woman who lives there believes it was her ex-boyfriend.

No word on a suspect description.
