Police release suspect sketch in assault, robbery of elderly Phoenix woman

PHOENIX - Police are trying to track down a suspect involved in an assault and robbery of an elderly woman early Sunday morning.

According to Phoenix police, a black male suspect entered the home located at 12th Street and Chandler Boulevard through an unsecured window and after assaulting the woman, ransacked the house for an hour and a half.

Several items were taken including the victim's 1994 Lexus, which was later recovered in the area.

The suspect was seen wearing dark baggy pants, a multicolored bandanna on his head, gloves and had a strong Southern accent or drawl.

The 90-year-old victim suffered a broken clavicle, cuts and scrapes.
