Police searching for motive, suspect in fatal shooting

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Police Department is looking for a suspect in the shooting death of a man near 4th Street and Indian School early Saturday morning.

Police said around 3:15 a.m. the suspect walked up to the victim to ask him for a cigarette shortly after the victim and another individual had gone to the convenience store at 3rd Street and Indian School.

The victim appeared to be getting a cigarette for him when the suspect shot him.

The suspect fled in a light colored white or silver older model "sloped front" passenger car.

Police do not have a motive for this shooting.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, approximately six foot tall, thin, unshaven last seen wearing a beanie cap and dark baggie jacket.
